Some say information is power. Not untrue, but incomplete - in fact, information is everything.
From the moment of conception, when our DNA provides a plan for how our bones will form, we are creatures of information. When we die and return to molecular dust, all we leave behind is information, in the records and works of our lives and in the memories of people who knew us. Everything we know or have ever known is information; we swim in it, generate it, move it, save it, exchange it, and even destroy it, every day.
The combination of humanity's accumulated knowledge with the active human mind carries incredible power. From ancient petroglyphs to tomorrow's expanding global digital networks, the human story as we know it has taken place at the intersection of people, information, and technology. It's infinitely exciting, and that's where I want to be.
Information is my passion and my mission. My career as an instructional designer, editor, and writer has been fueled by empowering people to achieve their goals or make their lives better. I studied at the University of Washington Information School to understand information and our relationship with it more deeply. As I continue to move forward professionally, I expect to happily pursue this for the rest of my life.
This portfolio spotlights some of my past experience and work. Thank you for visiting, and please feel free to contact me if you'd like to discuss any questions or ideas with me further.
